Bellevue Living: Iconic downtown high-rise creates urban vibe

989 Elements is a mixed-use residential building that consists of 21 residential floors (170 units), two levels of retail space, and four levels of below-grade parking (347 stalls). Amenities include an indoor swimming pool, conference rooms, fitness center, resident lounge, and media room.

 

DCI provided structural and civil services for this project, and helped the design team overcome some unique challenges.

    Achieved a long span curvilinear floor plate with minimal columns so that the layouts of the living units were not compromised..

  • Gravity framing system consists of concrete columns and post-tensioned concrete floor slabs.
  • Contains 21 levels of apartment space, two levels of retail space, and four levels of below-grade parking.
  • Civil services included the design of storm drainage, sewer, fire and domestic water services subdrains, street improvements, and erosion control plans.
