Working in Seattle’s SoDo Neighborhood: Engineering class A office space with amazing views

This class A office space was designed with advanced technology infrastructure and inherent flexibility in meeting spaces and layouts. Located in Seattle’s SoDo neighborhood, this office building is at the hub of regional transportation options and many other important amenities.  DCI Engineers provided structural design services for this multi-building office complex, which totals close to 500,000-sf in space.

Project Highlights

  • Each office building is comprised of approximately 175,000-sf of office space, with one level of shared sub-grade parking.
  • Buildings were constructed with cast-in-place post-tensioned concrete.
  • Two of the office buildings and the parking level have conventional spread footings, while the third office building has footings founded on Vibropiers.
  • Features a steel-framed 25’ tall great room located between two of the office buildings, which includes a water feature and a grand fire place.
