Bringing Sustainable living to Seattle’s Oldest Neighborhood: Engineering solutions for a high-rise in the heart of downtown
DCI Engineers provided structural design services for the east block of this proposed 1.5 million – sf mixed-use development that includes residential, hotel, retail, and parking structures. The project includes two buildings extending 240ft above grade and will include a micro urban farm that would produce food for the onsite restaurant as well as the residents.
- Hotel structure is 24-stories tall and the Office/Parking structure includes 4-stories of parking, a health club, a conference level, 12-stories of office space, and roof top restaurant.
- Project includes a covered sky-bridge connecting the two buildings at Levels 6 & 8 and a non-accessible roof structure at Level 3 that covers the arcade space between the two buildings.
- Structure comprises Office space that totals 6,000-sf and is connected by an atrium.
