Ten Coburg Road

Ten Coburg Road

A New Prestigious Address for Coburg Road: A beautiful building designed specifically with various owners and tenants in mind

DCI Engineers provided structural engineering services for this three-story medical office building.  This striking building was built by a consortium of owners and tenants who wanted to own a special building instead of leasing space.  As a result, this building has become a statement piece along the Coburg Road skyline.

Project Highlights

  • Steel moment frames were designed to provide lateral resistance to wind or earthquake loads without the intrusion of diagonal bracing or shearwalls on the architectural floor plan.
  • Building entry is a three-story open atrium that is an impressive architectural feature.
  • Exterior skin is a veneer of special white masonry, attached to a backup wall of steel stud framing.
  • The use of steel allowed fast building erection that shortened the overall construction time.
