DCI ENGINEERS WINS WASHINGTON EXCELLENCE IN CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION AWARD FOR GEORGETOWN CROSSROADS
SEATTLE, Wash. – October 4, 2019 – DCI Engineers, Prologis, Sierra Construction, and NELSON were recognized for their tilt-up concrete work on the three-story industrial warehouse project, Georgetown Crossroads. Washington Aggregates and Concrete Association (WACA) honored the project team as the winner of the “Low Rise 1-3 Stories Tilt Up” category. DCI Principal Danielle Jacobs oversaw the primary structural design for this first multi-level commercial warehouse in a dense metropolitan area within the United States.
SEATTLE, Wash. – September 16, 2019 -- DCI Engineers raised more than $76,000 for local non-profit Childhaven during the firm’s 31st annual golf tournament at the Golf Club at Newcastle last month. About 400 attendees from the AEC industries attended the fundraising event which was called “Luau on the Links.” A combination of 75 DCI and Childhaven staff volunteered their time to coordinate the festivities.

DCI Principal Dick Hemmen has officially announced his retirement from the firm! What that really means is that he will be part-time, wrapping up two small projects, and attending future social company events. DCI Engineers has become such a big a part of his life, walking away completely and disconnecting from the firm would be hard to do, he confessed.
