DCI Engineers, a civil and structural consulting firm, celebrated its silver anniversary on April 8, 2013. DCI Engineers prides themselves on the knowledge and experience of their staff and rely on their expertise to produce unparalleled cost-efficient solutions for their clients.
Dear Friends, Colleagues, Clients, and Employees:
Today marks an important milestone for DCI Engineers: our company has officially been around for a quarter of a century! And what a thrilling adventure it has been! We’ve weathered the storms, enjoyed the good times, and, through it all, stayed true to the values that make this company exceptional.
DCI may be headquartered in Seattle, Washington in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, but we have seven other offices in the United States that serve clients all over the country. And we’re still growing! Look for us in eastern Washington, sunny California, beautiful Oregon, and thriving Texas – we have offices in all four of those states.
Kris Swanson has been working a lot with the new Diversakore framing system, and we asked him to explain it a little more in depth. Thanks to him, we were able to gather some more information about the framing system and explain how DCI’s experience with it is valuable for certain projects.
What is the Diversakore system?
It's an alternate composite steel and concrete framing system utilizing conventional reinforced concrete encased in custom shaped steel plate shell, which acts both as steel reinforcing and a stay-in-place concrete form.
DCI Engineers is very proud to announce new leadership changes and a strategic hire in the Austin office. Steve Edmiston and Kris Swanson have been promoted to Associate Principal. Steve Edmiston joined the Austin office in early 2009. With over 10 years of experience, Steve has worked on a variety of projects including a high-profile resort in Cabo San Lucas, luxury residences in Aruba, and several student housing projects along the Eastern seaboard.
