Schematic design is where a clever, creative or novel structural idea has the potential to make a huge impact on the project as a whole – it can generate cost-savings or even create a new architectural dialogue with the building that becomes a theme for the design moving forward."

A born-and-bred Californian, Nolan Lenahan has been passionately transforming the region’s urban landscape through thoughtful structural designs in cultural, civic, and institutional projects along with commercial and residential developments. While he hails from the northern reaches of Sacramento, Nolan leverages his Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering and Master’s in Structural/Earthquake Engineering from UCLA to focus on southern California’s continued growth and development.

This includes DCI’s Los Angeles office where Nolan guides and mentors staff, helps build and maintain regional client relationships and provides project management solutions.

Nolan is a recipient of the 40 Under 40 Award.
