A Dallas native, Chet brings more than 30 years of structural engineering experience across healthcare, higher education, and sports and entertainment venues to DCI's growing Texas practice. His background includes hospital work reviewed by some of the country's leading seismic engineers in California, and years spent building and leading his own structural engineering practice in Dallas. He brings that same hands-on approach to DCI's work in one of the country's fastest-growing metro areas, where sustained population growth and corporate relocation continue to drive demand across the healthcare, education, and entertainment sectors he knows best.
Chet is Dallas born and raised — down to sharing a birthday with Texas Independence Day. He and his wife, Debbie, have been married 29 years and have three children. Ask him sometime about the day two 300-foot trusses buckled mid-construction on one of his job sites — it's a story that says a lot about how he leads.

What is your favorite thing about the DCI work environment? Intelligent, capable people who understand the value of the employee and like to take on engineering challenges
What is your favorite place, building, or built environment at your current city of residence? I would say the Gaylord Hotel on Lake Grapevine, same structure and operator as the current Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. Large structure with long spans, neat holiday events, right on the lake.
