DCI Engineers Announces New Promotions

DCI Engineers is pleased to announce the following promotions within our SoCal offices.

Manuel Aldaco Lopez, PE, has been promoted to Project Manager. His project accomplishments at DCI range from renovations, hospitality, commercial, residential, parking structures, and mixed-use. Manuel interfaces with clients regularly and is thorough in seeing projects through to completion. You will find him at the LA office performing structural reviews, designing gravity and lateral systems and preparing calculation packages for projects located throughout southern California, Texas, Alaska, Washington, and Idaho. Manuel is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Structural Engineers Association of Southern California (SEAOSC).

Madalyn Esch, PE, has also been promoted to Project Manager. Since joining DCI, Madalyn has expanded her structural engineering experience through residential, commercial, mixed-use, renovations, hospitality, and industrial building projects. Her work has also led her to unique opportunities with podiums and modular construction. As a project manager, she oversees design and analysis for framing systems while coordinating schedules and providing construction support, making her a reliable project asset for clients and contractors. Madalyn is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Structural Engineers Association of Southern California (SEAOSC).

Jon Deck, PE, SE, has been promoted to Associate Principal. He has provided structural design services for a variety of residential, mixed-use, office, education, and high-rise projects throughout southern California. Jon’s experience working on different types of projects has made him adept at providing efficient designs of structural systems for projects throughout the region. His project portfolio includes Shift Apartments, 520 West Ash, Mr. Robinson, Park & Polk Mixed-Use, and Merrill Gardens-Bankers Hill. Jon is a member of Structural Engineers Association of California (SEAOC) and Urban Land Institute (ULI).

Nathan Fields, PE, SE, has been promoted to Associate. His more than a decade of professional engineering experience with various residential, hospitality, mixed-use, education, and renovation projects has made him not only a versatile asset to DCI, but for the southern California region itself. Nathan contributes value engineering, leadership, technical assessments, and quality in construction support throughout the life of a project. In particular, his familiarity with residential and mixed-use podium design expands his insight about current urban planning practices.
