DCI's 2016 Wild Wild West Golf Tournament

On August 25th, DCI held its 28th Annual Charity Golf Tournament raising more than $44,000 for Childhaven, a Seattle non-profit organization healing children and families of western Washington. 288 golfers, 24 sponsor representatives, and 76 DCI staff volunteers took over both Coal Creek and China Creek courses at the Golf Club at Newcastle. Most participants were professionals from the A/E/C industries taking the day to soak in the good weather, network, and ham it up with the tournament's Western theme. After golfing, attendees reconvened at the clubhouse for cocktail hour, auction and raffle festivities, and a banquet dinner.

DCI President/COO and Childhaven board member Roger Heeringa and board vice chair Bareq Peshtaz announced the agency's strategical plan to open a crisis childcare nursery in Auburn, Washington. The project is an opportunity for regional A/E/C firms and companies to volunteer their building expertise for the facility. If you would like to get involved please contact Roger at 206-332-1900 or Childhaven co-president and CFO Melissa Williams at info@childhaven.org or 206-624-6477.
