As part of our commitment to the Structural Engineering Institute’s SE 2050 Challenge, DCI Engineers has released our 2026 Embodied Carbon Action Plan (ECAP)—a practical roadmap for reducing embodied carbon in structural design.
This year’s update reflects both organizational growth and technical progress, including a new regional sustainability leadership structure and continued gains in carbon reduction. Compared to last year’s baseline, DCI achieved a 10% reduction in embodied carbon, with average project emissions performing 36% below the SE 2050 industry average reported in 2023.
The 2026 ECAP documents what’s working, where we’re focusing effort, and how we’re moving closer to net zero by 2050.
