Re-Imagining the Future of Warehouses

DCI and Nucor case study on award-winning Midwest warehouse

When space is limited in an urban area, the only way to go is up! DCI and Nucor present their case study of a 1.2-million-square-foot, multi-story distribution center in a Midwest city center and how design engineering played a key role in making this project a reality and meeting sustainability goals.

DCI Principal in Charge of Sustainability, Roger Heeringa, will be presenting an AIA-accredited webinar on Tuesday, November 18, at 11am PST.

Attendees will learn:

  • How design decisions can reduce a project’s embodied carbon footprint.
  • How Aeos™ ASTM A913 Grade 65 high-strength steel beams and columns can support demanding loads and long spans for multi-story structures.
  • How sustainability goals were set, measured, and tracked throughout the project.
  • Key lessons learned that you can apply to future designs and builds.

Registration is available HERE.

In October, the project won a 2nd Place Award for Low Rise Structures in the 2025 ACI Excellence in Concrete Awards.
