Remodeling the "M" copy

Expressing Hometown Pride Through Engineering

DCI Engineers' project, the "M" was featured in the Spokane Coeur d'Alene Living magazine in an article written by Rose Bechtold, Communications Specialist. The M, formerly a Macy’s department store, is now a readapted 370,000-sf mixed-use building. The single structure comprises of retail levels on the first two floors, and a combination of commercial and residential levels for the above-grade floors. One building section is 11-stories (former Macy’s building), while another section (Wraight building) is eight-stories. The M has one below-grade parking level and a sub-grade basement level which is a mechanical/electrical room. The M also has two skywalks connecting to adjacent buildings from the second floor retail level. The Howard Street skywalk connects to Bennet Block and the Wall Street skywalk connects to the Urban Outfitters store. Learn more about this project on page 78 here.
