DCI’s culture is one of teamwork – where ideas are shared freely and questions answered immediately, no matter the challenge. We’re encouraged to explore smarter, better solutions to deliver long-term value for our clients.”

What started as a childhood fascination for city skylines has since flourished into a career of building designs for Tyler Xu. Engineering a variety of projects today, including podium, wood, concrete and modular structural systems, Tyler has been helping transform skylines across Los Angles, San Diego and beyond. His projects have included SRM Hillcrest Tower in San Diego, 880 McAllister in San Francisco, HHH Affordable Housing projects in Los Angeles, and several modular buildings with Samara.

In addition to managing projects and coordinating design details with team stakeholders, Tyler has been assisting in the professional growth of his internal teams and has immersed himself in the AEC community, attending client and industry gatherings, such as the Asian American Architects/Engineers Association events.

Tyler earned his master’s in structural engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
