Rowan University Camden Academic Building

Academic Alterations: Banking on renovation pays off for Rowan University’s new Camden, NJ campus

This project converted the historic First Camden National Bank and Trust building, which was constructed during the 1920s, into a new arts and science academic building for Rowan University. The bank was cleaned and renovated and now hosts 12 classrooms, including in its two bank vaults, which have their original two-foot-thick, solid steel doors! A new three-story addition was built and attached to the bank, adding another five classrooms to Rowan University’s Camden Annex. The new addition also has a roof deck for students and assembly lecture space.
