Villas on Rio is a 21-story luxury off-campus student housing community with 303 units (with a 700-bed capacity); four below-grade parking levels (255 stalls); swimming pool; and fitness center.

DCI designed the building’s pier layout, foundation, slab, mild reinforcing, overframing, post-tension, shear wall systems, wall elevations, concrete column layout, plus CMU and steel details. The engineers determined an appropriate basement wall design specific for the site.
