DCI Promotes Staff Members

SEATTLE, Wash. – July 26, 2019 -- DCI Engineers, a civil and structural engineering firm, is pleased to announce the following promotions in the Spokane and Portland offices:

Chris Ferrera, PE, SE has been promoted to Senior Project Manager. Over the years at DCI, he has contributed his management and engineering skills to a large variety of projects types including tenant improvement, residential, K-12 schools, higher education facilities, hospitality, mixed-use, structural assessments and commercial projects throughout the country. He has also worked on a number of large industrial projects both in the U.S. and foreign countries. One of his current projects includes a 17-story tower in Portland. His dedication and attention to detail have led him to more leadership responsibilities on his team. On behalf of the firm, Chris often recruits engineering students at career fairs for full-time and internship roles. He is a member of the firm's in-house technical committees to further his understanding in concrete; steel; masonry; wood; mass timber; foundation and shoring; existing building evaluation; and industrial application. He is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Washington (SEAW) Spokane Chapter.

Colby Litzenberger, PE, SE, has been promoted to Senior Project Manager. Since joining DCI, he has enhanced his engineering and leadership skills with tenant improvement, commercial, K-12 schools, hospitality, and residential projects in California, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana. He is currently working on the VOA Hope House project in Spokane and several school projects in the area. Colby is involved with in-house technical committees regarding masonry; wood; mass timber; plus foundation and shoring. He is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Washington (SEAW) Spokane Chapter and recently passed his structural engineer exam.

Anthony Sorentino, PE, has been promoted to Senior Project Manager. Since joining DCI, he has applied his technical expertise for residential, tenant improvement, K-12 schools, mixed-use, hospitality, and commercial projects throughout California, Washington, and Idaho. His notable downtown Spokane project is the remodeling efforts of The M. One of his current projects includes the Yakima Convention Center Addition. He is involved with in-house technical committees focused on design loads, steel and aluminum, wood, and mass timber. Anthony is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Washington (SEAW) Spokane Chapter.

Mikael Koiv, PE, has been promoted to Project Manager. Since joining DCI, Mikael has supported numerous hospitality, commercial office, and tenant improvement projects. He contributed his engineering expertise for the award-winning Almr residential project in Portland. Mikael’s current projects include the Everett Hotel, Hotel Moxy, Hub Seattle II, and TLK Data Center. He is involved with in-house technical committees focused on concrete, cold form steel, wood, and foundation and shoring.
