As humans push the boundaries and innovate in complex building design, structural engineering will continue to play a pivotal role in ensuring that innovation is feasible and sound.”
For Sathvik, the combination of physics and architecture sparked an interest in a structural engineering career. Upon earning his Masters in Civil Engineering (Structural/Earthquake Specialization) from UCLA, he joined a small Seattle firm before making the switch to DCI in 2020 where he’s since delivered projects throughout the Puget Sound region and beyond.
Working primarily on mixed-use developments, which includes several student housing projects, Sathvik has been focusing on the public sector to broaden DCI’s portfolio. He’s also an active member of the firm’s Sustainability group, serving as a regional sustainability lead and presenting on embodied carbon in support of DCI’s SE 2050 Commitment.
