BIM brings together two things I really enjoy: Computers and building structures. Being able to create an exact replica of a building and collaborating with clients to make the whole thing “work” is truly a fun and rewarding experience.”
While he’s considered the “Revit Teacher” among his colleagues, Trevor’s professional journey began with a pencils-and-paper board drafting class in high school. He learned he was good, and thanks to living in Montana—where he could attend one of the two schools in the entire country that offer a four-year degree—he didn’t need to travel far for his bachelor’s in Design Drafting Technology and then a bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Montana State University – Northern.
Using his combined academic experience, Trevor spent a few years with a general contractor doing small project Revit work and occasional in-field framing, steel erection and concrete before joining DCI in 2013. Since then, he’s helped with creating project templates, providing QC on large projects and integrating new hires into Revit processes, along with providing design deliverables for all sorts of projects – high-end residential being one of his favorites.
