Beatriz & Ed Schweitzer Haven

Emphasizing Human Dignity: Non-profit housing shelters the city’s homeless

The Beatriz & Ed Schweitzer Haven is a four-story low income/transitional housing building and part of a larger development on the site. With buildings such as these, the Catholic Charities of Spokane is actively housing the chronically homeless of the city – a effort they believe helps people out of poverty. The building includes 51 living units and adheres to Evergreen Sustainable Development Standards. DCI Engineers was the EOR of this 42,000-sf project and designed the plans for the primary lateral and gravity systems.
