Booming Vancouver, Washington: A growing town needs more hospitality

Best Western Premier in Vancouver, Washington is a four-story hotel at Fisher’s Landing with 132 guest rooms, an indoor swimming pool, fitness center, and onsite restaurant. DCI provided the primary civil engineering services for the new 75,000-gsf project. The scope involved driveway revision, erosion control, rough grading planning, storm water planning, utility planning, horizontal control planning, ramp & ADA details, storm drain details, erosion control details, and retention basin details.

The engineering team supported the architect and interfaced with the City of Vancouver to address permitting documentation inquires. During design, the civil engineers focused on state regulation compliance for the site’s storm water management system, particularly for meeting standards with the storm water runoff storage.
