Project Highlights
The vision of the retrofit was to open up the space. DCI accomplished this with a three-story steel movement-resisting space frame.
Steel frame slices between the two wings of the brick structure, creating an atrium which draws daylight deep into the restaurant core.
The new lounge and dining areas that were involved in the remodel were upgraded to current seismic standards, while still retaining the historic character of the original space.
