Centrum 606

Luxury Living in the Windy City: Chicago mixed-use includes larger retail space, 95 apartment units

With the Aldi store scheduled to re-open in its new 18,000-sf space in Bucktown, the design team of Centrum 606 was on a time-crunch countdown. Through Facetime communication, DCI was able to perform virtual site observations to verify rebar placement, saving money and time for the client. The un-topped HC plank system and typical steel make up the 95-unit complex that provides a roof deck and fitness facility for residents, along with parking for customers of the Aldi store, located at ground level. The southwest corner of the property abuts the popular 606 trail, a 2.7-mile-long pedestrian path that opened in 2015.
