Delaware Technical Community College – McDowell Student Success Center
Expansion Without Acquisition: Del Tech College adds height and space with remodel
Delaware Technical Community College’s George Campus was built in the 1970s. The school has been connecting students with higher education and resources for over five decades, and in that time, Del Tech Wilmington Campus East Building’s design has grown dated and inefficient for the school’s current needs. The school board decided it was time to modernize the building. DCI worked with the architects at Tetra Tech to model and design the building’s new interior. Ceilings were removed, floors were added, courtyards were infilled. The remodeled Wilmington Campus East Building features its own student success center, a collaborative learning commons, a revamped cafeteria and new lounge spaces along with modernized classrooms.
