Steel Framed Fitness: Students can get pumped in Williamson College of the Trade’s new Wesley Student Center

This two-story CMU and steel building creates new places for students to exercise, play basketball, play video games with friends in the e-sports lounge or join in club sports and exercise classes. The new activity center sits directly south of Rowan Hall, which functions as the school’s main administrative building and dining hall and is one of the school’s original structures from when the campus was built in 1891. The new Wesley Student Center is situated in front of the school’s football field and baseball diamond. Now, students have locker rooms close by, so they won’t need to trek from their dorms to the field and back again in shorts and t-shirts. They also have a place for indoor exercises using the Student Activity Center’s weight rooms and elevated running track.

This project couldn’t have started without the generous $20 million donation from the Joseph and Marion Wesley Family Foundation.
