Juvenile Fish Facility Floor Screen Cleaner

Taking Care of our Rivers: Juvenile fish facility gets revised equipment

The US Army Corps of Engineers - Walla Walla District awarded a contractor to upgrade a juvenile fish facility located at the Lower Granite Lock and Dam. The contractor tapped DCI Engineers’ industrial structural team to analyze the existing facility members supporting the machinery and its connections. DCI developed the fabrication and construction documents to relocate three floor screen cleaners. The relocation of the equipment involved eliminating framing beams under the west motor mount, revising base plates, and analyzing the structure for loads imparted by the drive system.
