Project Highlights

  • Added a wood framed fifth floor to the existing roof in order to provide additional office space.
  • Concrete topping was added to each floor and provided benefits in three ways: stiffened the floors, improved the acoustical barriers between floors, and acted as rigid diaphragms, since the south and west walls will remain open for storefronts and windows.
  • Added strategic shotcrete walls inside the building to act as a lateral system up to the fifth floor.
