Project One

A List of Firsts: Mass Plywood Panel project is first of its kind in the world

The world’s first multi-level mass plywood panel (MPP) development is a mixed-use residential building in Oakland, California. As part of the mass timber materials family, MPP is exceptionally versatile, with cuts made to provide optimal structural performance without sacrificing weight and size. The sustainable wood product was used in the building’s floors and prefabricated wood walls.

Project One also features a new, innovative MEP system and is the first project in the country to use Mitek CFS moment frames, which allow for more openings versus traditional wood sheathed shear walls.
