The main goal of the bridge is to bring connectivity with neighborhoods, provide recreational opportunities for pedestrian bicyclers, great connection point to the fort Missoula park that’s commissioned today...”
Cyclists and pedestrians can safely cross Missoula’s busy South Reserve Street where 43,000 vehicles travel on every day. The 455 feet long Reserve Street Pedestrian Bridge was constructed from modular pieces and fully assembled deck panel sections. The main arch span is 195 feet with two 65 feet approach spans on each side.
DCI+BCE defined the superstructure’s design and determined the modular section sequencing. Proper material staging was the key to the project’s success and meeting the completion date.
