Chelan County Public Utility District awarded a contract to a general contractor to refurbish and update two 250-ton powerhouse cranes. They supplied, fabricated and installed upgrades to the bridge cranes. The contractor procured DCI Engineers to supply structural engineering services for this project. DCI’s industrial engineering team designed the details for trolley structure strengthening for a new machinery configuration, horizonal lifeline (HLL) systems, new crane walkways, ladders, and platforms. DCI also designed numerous construction aids for lifting and jacking the cranes when facilitating equipment replacement.
