Housing Hope: Modular takes on affordable housing

Manufactured in Idaho, 47 modular units make up the 50 apartments of Twin Lakes Landing, an affordable housing project in which many residents are coming from living spaces deemed unfit for human inhabitation.

Because of the drastically shorter construction schedule, modular construction is becoming a very popular option for developers, particularly those looking at affordable housing.

Project Highlights

Twin Lakes Landing is the largest project for Housing Hope, a non-profit working to promote and provide affordable housing and services to reduce homelessness and poverty.
Over the course of two weeks, each modular unit was placed on concrete foundations via a 400-ton crane.
