Bringing a World-Class Stadium to the Palouse: Engineering a cutting edge facility for Washington State University

DCI Engineers provided structural engineering for this $65M expansion to the existing football stadium. This project needed to be completed in one off-season, allowing less than 10 months from construction start to the opening football game and features include new club seating and amenity spaces, luxury boxes, and a new press box.

Project Highlights

Structural steel was ordered and detailing begun while the architectural design was less than 50% complete. This involved an extraordinary team effort between DCI and the steel fabricator.
The new structure was built over an existing plaza and information technology building, and utilized those existing elements for the structural support of the new building.
Stadium includes 1,900 premium seats, 21 suites, 44 loge boxes, and 1,300 club seats.
