DCI Engineers, headquartered in Seattle, WA, is a leading structural and civil engineering consulting firm with 20+ offices spanning the United States. Our Bozeman, MT office currently has an opportunity for a Project Manager to lead our Special Inspections Team. 

Responsibilities of the Special Inspections Team Project Manager:

  • Manage and grow the Special Inspections division for Montana.
  • Market to clients in the pursuit of special inspection opportunities.
  • Prepare and present fee proposals to clients.
  • Review subcontractor contracts, billing and coordinate amendments.
  • Manage the workload and scheduling for on-site inspections.
  • Conduct on-site inspections, assess issues, take field notes on your observations and document projects.
  • Draft or oversee the production of client reports.
  • Build relationships and develop a client base.

Requirements for the Special Inspections Team Project Manager:

  • 5+ years of project management and special inspection experience.
  • Engineering or CET degree (or similar) from an ABET accredited university.
  • PE license is required.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate work, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Ability to work in harsh conditions, such as adverse weather.
  • Lead and train junior team members.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders – clients, and design and construction teams.
  • Skilled at writing professional business correspondence, technical reports, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
  • Desire to successfully market yourself and the Company in order to be awarded work from new and existing clients.

DCI Engineers, a leading structural and civil engineering consulting firm with 20+ offices spanning the United States has an opportunity for full-time Structural Project Engineer in its Bozeman office.

Responsibilities of a Structural Project Engineer:

  • Perform and coordinate the structural design of assigned projects under the supervision of the Project Manager
  • Collaborate with BIM Designers to produce structural construction documents and draft details in REVIT
  • Assist Project Managers with Construction Support, including shop drawing review and answering RFIs
  • Be attentive to details and provide accurate construction documents
  • Progressively grow your technical knowledge through both internal project experience and continuing education

Requirements for a Structural Engineer:

  • 0-4 years of structural engineering experience, as it relates to building, bridge, and non-building structure design
  • Working knowledge and project experience using steel, concrete, wood, and masonry design materials
  • Experience designing lateral (wind/seismic) and gravity framing systems for buildings and their material types
  • Basic knowledge of design/build codes, such as the AISC, ACI 318, IBC, and ASCE 7
  • Working knowledge of structural analysis software, such as RISA 3D, RAM, ETABS, Enercalc, ADAPT, etc.
  • Ability to manage your time, juggling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Desire to provide excellent service and build client relationships
  • Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Effective communication skills
  • Possess a state-issued Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate
  • Structural/Civil/Architectural Engineering degree.  ABET accredited universities are preferred
  • Master’s degree preferred
