Project Highlights

  • The state of the art facility has 21 classrooms, a two-story library, art and music rooms, a gym and technology lab, providing a permanent home for an institution that had been leasing space for most of its 30 years of existence.
  • The floors were constructed with composite steel beams with a concrete over metal deck slab. The roof was metal deck over open web steel joists. Special steel-braced frames provided lateral support.
  • The school’s design is carried by the library space, which features two stories of large windows, maximizing natural light.
  • DCI accommodated the project’s tight budget and constrained construction schedule with a simple and efficient column layout that maximized interior space and minimized material costs.
