This large-scale military construction project involved the replacement of facilities previously rendered unsafe by the 2019 Ridgecrest Earthquake. These structures have been designed to withstand the area's extreme forces, including 8.0-magnitude earthquakes, high winds, Class D exposure, flooding, noise pollution, high temperatures, and jet fuel.
The project included an Integration Laboratory, a 75-sf research, development, and testing facility comprised of cast-in-place concrete tilt-up panels with formliner banding, aluminum storefront systems, and composite metal decking; an Integrated Air Operations and Tower Facility, with a 158-foot-tall ATC tower and administrative footprint of 17,000-sf; and a Structural/Aircraft Fire and Rescue Station, which totals 20,000-sf and includes a kitchen, parking bays, and dormitories.
