DCI Staff Promoted as Associate Principals and Associates

SEATTLE, Wash. – April 26, 2019 -- DCI Engineers, a civil and structural engineering firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of the following staff to firm associate principal and associate roles.

Justin Bettner, PE, SE, has been promoted to Associate Principal in the San Francisco office. Since joining DCI, Justin’s design portfolio grew with more steel and concrete structures, office, multi-family, and hospitality projects. His high-profile projects include Netflix Phase II, Parkmerced, and CITYSPACE 2711. He co-chairs DCI’s cladding and structural glass technical committee. Justin is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).

Mat Wies, PE, SE, has been promoted to Associate Principal in the Seattle office. His recent high-profile accomplishments include Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital in Tacoma and SoMa Towers in Bellevue. Over the years, Mat expanded his specialty in the healthcare market sector and experience with concrete high-rises. He chairs DCI’s steel technical committee and encourages his team to advance their material knowledge. He is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Washington (SEAW).

Erik Pearson, PE, SE has been promoted to Associate Principal in the Seattle office. Since joining the firm, he expanded his specialty in mid-rise and high-rise residential buildings, mixed-use, and hospitality projects. His contributed engineering support for the Avenue Bellevue Towers and The Bullitt Center. He chairs DCI’s foundation and shoring technical committee, and is a valuable resource regarding steel and concrete structures. Erik is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Washington (SEAW) and American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC).

Mark Bradford, PE, has been promoted to Associate in the Missoula, Montana office. While at DCI, he earned recognition for his mentorship and project management skills. Mark has developed valuable local client relationships and contributed to various projects throughout Missoula, such as public schools, medical facilities, commercial buildings, low-rise apartments, and tenant improvements. Mark chairs DCI’s mass timber technical committee. He is currently a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).

Kyle Kraxberger, PE, SE, has been promoted to Associate in the Portland, Oregon office. He is known for his structural expertise with existing buildings. Kyle’s projects range from new construction, demolition work, and tenant improvement – such as the Lloyd Center and Oregon State University remodel projects. He chairs DCI’s existing buildings evaluation, retrofit, and demolition technical committee. Kyle’s growing experience led him to more leadership and management responsibilities at the firm.

Greg Mercurio, PE, SE, has been promoted to Associate in the Portland office. Since joining DCI, he has expanded his project management experience and contributed to in-house quality control processes. He has also cultivated client relationships and brought in repeat client work from both architects and contractors. Greg’s project experience includes hospitality, higher education, medical, commercial buildings, and tenant improvement. He is a currently a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Oregon (SEAO).

Patrick Lindblom, PE, SE, has been promoted to Associate in the Seattle office. Patrick has more than a decade of project design experience for office, mixed-use, hospitality, multi-family, and commercial retail buildings. His notable western Washington projects include the Madison Centre, Cielo, The Bravern, Avenue Bellevue, Block 52 (Apollo), and 300 Terry. Patrick chairs DCI’s high-rise technical committee. He is currently a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Washington (SEAW), American Concrete Institute (ACI), Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH), and the National Association for Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP).
