PE

Senior Project Manager, Austin

I became a structural engineer because I love problem solving and creativity. There’s never a one-size-fits-all solution in this industry. Every project has its own challenges and constraints, and it’s fun working with a team of great people to find those unique solutions that make a project better.”

Arizona has been instrumental in DCI’s sustainability initiatives, including helping launch the firm’s in-house sustainability committee. He joined DCI in 2016 after graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s in architectural engineering. In his seven years with DCI Engineers, Arizona has worked on projects like the Linden and Parker Lane Apartments. He has worked with every construction material on just about every project type. Arizona likes to tell his friends and colleagues about the custom steel roof structure he designed, which ties into a historic 200+ year-old building on Sixth Street in Austin.

What is your favorite thing about the DCI work environment?
I appreciate DCI’s open and collaborative work environment. I have a lot of respect for the people I work with.

What is your favorite place, building, or built environment at your current city of residence?
I really love the ACL Live concert venue in Austin. It’s my favorite place to see a show and it has a great outdoor plaza where you can enjoy a view of downtown before and after concerts.
