Determining structural systems while coordinating the needs of our project partners is the intersection of engineering concepts and creative problem solving. This happens in Schematic Design and is probably the most important step of the process.”

Grant began his engineering journey with DCI as an intern before joining the San Diego team officially in 2015. In addition to designing for a variety of commercial, private and public developments across southern California, Grant specializes in podium, mid-rise and high-rise concrete buildings.

His projects have included Park & Polk, an award-winning multi-family residential building in San Diego, and The Continental, a nine-story apartment building in San Diego’s Little Italy neighborhood, both designed by architect Jonathan Segal.

Grant earned his bachelor’s in Structural Engineering from the University of California, San Diego.
