Mathew’s interest in structures was solidified during his senior year at Cal Poly Pomona when he took part in an engineering project that replicated the real-world thing. It pushed him to pursue his master’s in Structural Engineering while he gained on-the-job experience through internships.
Upon earning his master’s, Mathew joined DCI in 2015 and has been working on projects of all types and materials ever since. One such unique project included designing long-span custom steel trusses for a church to maintain a column-free space.
In addition to his day-to-day project management role, Mathew is a member of SEAOSC and ASCE – earning an “Excellence in Promotion of Infrastructure” award in May 2023 from ASCE of Orange County for his work in southern California, his community outreach and his educational YouTube videos and podcasts.
