Don’t mind rain? In the winter months, Seattle rain means snow on the mountains, which makes locals get out their skis, snowboards, or snowshoes. Whatever activity appeals to you – there’s always something to do in the Emerald City or someplace nearby – just wear a raincoat and proper boots. DCI Engineers values a balanced work/life schedule and cultural diversity. It’s a way to connect with like-minded folks inspired by the same interests and ideas.

In 1988, founders Mark D’Amato and Guy Conversano started DCI Engineers in their garage simply because they enjoyed each other’s company and loved designing buildings. They both had an entrepreneurial spark and long-term vision to serve their community of clients.

That same drive continues today with a new generation of leadership, engineers, and support team (~85 folks) – and now DCI is a national firm serving more communities. The Seattle headquarters is led by Principals Grant Buckingham and Greg Gilda. Their team of engineers can be seen at project or client meetings, site visits, SEAW seminars, BISNOW events, and industry-related socials. DCI Seattle is the home base for civil, CAD, accounting, human resources, marketing, and IT departments. DCI Seattle operates as a firm-wide resource for the other offices, particularly for brainstorming design or work process ideas, proposal content, and sharing business development insight. The firm’s Innovation | Service | Value culture started in Seattle, but is practiced in all of our offices. It’s the way we stay connected, share our pride of place, and celebrate commonalities.
